Sooner or later, we’re all gonna become one with the earth. Physically.

The only real question is, how long can we dodge the inevitable before something catches up with us?

As well, it’d be a shame if we get nailed by something that should’ve been totally avoidable.

Who knew that extended periods of sitting would be on that list somewhere?

But it is.

There are totally credible studies that confirm the human species was not meant to be sedentary. For example:

As the world is becoming more wired by the day and desk jobs keep multiplying, we seem to be on an inadvisable course to morph ourselves into Patootie Land.

Only if we’re sitting as a result of our own free will.

If we choose the time and place of our sitting, we have a significantly better chance of avoiding its health risks:

As this infographic shows, it doesn’t take that much exercise to counter many of the issues that prolonged sitting can exacerbate.

This is much easier to incorporate into our schedules when we’re working for ourselves, and being real, the wired world has made this a much more attractive proposition than at any other time in modern history.

Not only does becoming an online entrepreneur enable us to determine the time and place of our productivity — often, all we need is a laptop or smartphone — it also gives us the option to choose the chair or chairs that best suit our personal ergonomic needs.

Yes. Yes, it does.

Sitting may be inevitable, too, but sitting disease isn’t. The more options you give yourself, the better choices you’ll be able to make.

And it’s all there to be done.
